Camilla Vaitaitis

About
Camilla Vaitaitis is a versatile pianist, vocalist, guitarist, arranger, and composer based in Denver, CO. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Jazz Piano and Composition from the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music.
Camilla plays regularly in several different groups, including her indie rock bands Barbara and Specific Ocean, and her original jazz project, the Camilla Vaitaitis Quartet. She dedicates time not only to performing with various groups throughout Denver, but also to composing and arranging pieces for a variety of groups, including big bands, small ensembles, rock bands, and more. She is a published composer with Brava Jazz Publishing. In addition to actively performing, Camilla has recently joined the jazz faculty at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music. A sought-after educator, she also teaches private lessons in piano, guitar, songwriting, and composition and directs ensembles and teaches courses with the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts.
Camilla has been busy in the studio recording a variety of different projects. Barbara's latest single and music video “Dark Water Disco” came out on May 17, 2024. Barbara’s sophomore album SO THIS IS LIVING will be released on April 4, 2025. Specific Ocean’s full-length album i’m not a perfect person, but i’m trying to make you proud was released on Feb. 21, 2025. Her jazz quartet will be releasing an album of all original music in the Fall of 2025.
